Procedure for the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Program
  • The Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU), the government authority responsible for administering the program, oversees the processing and thorough review of all applications.
  • The CIU conducts strict due diligence checks and will reject any application if an applicant provides false information or omits relevant details. The documentation requirements for the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Program are straightforward, and the overall process is clear and manageable. Once an application is approved, main applicants and dependents aged 16 and above must attend mandatory virtual interviews. Passports are subsequently issued and can be collected in Antigua and Barbuda.
  • Successful applicants are required to reside in Antigua and Barbuda for at least five days within the first five years of obtaining citizenship. For those choosing the real estate option, residency requirements may vary depending on the project. It is therefore essential to select a real estate project that can provide all necessary documentation required by the CIU to complete the citizenship application.
